Ilija Babić graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, where he also acquired his magister’s degree. In the course of his career, he performed the duties of a judge and president of the Municipal Court in Gračanica, as well as a judge at the Administrative Court, and later the Supreme Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He participated in the making of several scientific project at the Institute for Comparative Law. Afterwards he was appointed a judge at the Federal Court, which was followed by an appointment as the president of the Administrative Office of the Federal Court.
