If you are fascinated by monumental sacral buildings and find the unique compositions on the walls of the temples from UNESCO’s cultural heritage list awe-inspiring; if you would like to unveil the old masters’ secret of creation and acquire knowledge and education in art founded upon centuries of experience, FCA’s Fresco Painting is the right choice for you.

The new program Fresco Painting is a dedicated profile within the Painting department, focused on putting your artistic talent into the service of sacred art. You will master stylized painting; learn how to utilize color, create face and figure and properly place them within large compositions. In order words: you will acquire knowledge necessary for a contemporary mural painter.

The need for the restoration of great works of sacred art is growing, as witnessed by UNESCO’s initiative. The great temple compositions made by the artists of old need to be preserved from the threat of erosion that time brings or restored after the destruction brought by historic events. At the same time, a number of new temples requiring frescoes is growing. Doing that takes knowledge, artistic talent, inspiration and hard work. This is why the need for educated mural and, especially, fresco painters is growing.

The goal of this program is to provide knowledge that will qualify you for work on collective or individual projects of painting, conserving and restoring sacral paintings.

If you would like to paint new temples or restore old masters’ compositions; to create works of eternal value which will be viewed by millions of people in churches from America to Australia, then the Fresco program is the right choice for you.

The Fresco Painting program has been designed for those who cherish the eternal value of sacred art, who would like to make a unique contribution within the realm of this centuries old art discipline, who yearn to start an inspired and creative discourse with the old masters of painting.
