Students from the Faculty of Contemporary Arts perform at the festival “Čkaljini dani” in Kruševac

Master’s degree students in acting from the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, Jana Dekanski and Andrijana Dragnić, will present themselves to the audience in Kruševac at the upcoming academic festival “Čkaljini dani”. On March 29, 2024, they will perform their exam performance from last year titled “PRST” by author Doruntina Baša.

The festival “Čkaljini dani” is an academic event dedicated to promoting young talents and contemporary art practice. Students Jana Dekanski and Andrijana Dragnić, who have already been noticed for their talent on the stage, have the honor of being part of this significant event.

The play “Prst” tells the story of two women whose unhappy fate and tradition have condemned them to live under the same roof. Failing to establish normal communication, they sweep all problems under the rug out of fear that starting a conversation could reopen old, as well as new wounds. Despite the harsh reality, they allow themselves to dream and fantasize, as only in dreams do they have complete freedom. They cannot be together, but neither can they be apart. What does a day look like when one of them tries to change something?

Visitors to the festival “Čkaljini dani” will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique artistic experience and see how young talents of the acting scene interpret complex themes through their performance.
