FCA professor Vida Ognjenović was appointed as a foreign member of the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts

The Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts elected new associate, full and foreign members at the recently held election session of the Assembly of the Academy. Vida Ognjenović, FCA professor of Acting, is one of the newly elected holders of the prestigious title of foreign member of CANU. Among the other selected foreign members were Vlatko Gilić, film director, professor Branislav Mitrović, architect, and prof. Dr Konstantin Novoselov, physicist – Nobel laureate, and academician Predrag Peško, surgeon.

Prof. Vida OgnjenovićWriter, film director and diplomat, Vida Ognjenović, graduated from the Department of General Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, as well as from the Film and TV Directing Department at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. She completed her postgraduate studies in Paris at the Sorbonne and defended her master’s thesis in theory and practice at the University of Minnesota.

She has earned numerous awards and recognitions during her long career, and now professor Ognjenović has also earned the prestigious title of foreign member of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts. Congratulations on this great success!
