These are the winners of the great high school creatives’ competition: see you at Dorćol Platz on May 28 at the Days of contemporaty arts!

High school students from across Serbia showcased their talent at the Big High School Creatives’ Competition, which was open from February 15 to May 15.

Over 150 students took part in the competition, sending over 250 works on the topic “Body”, and the expert jury selected the best among them in all six categories – drawing, painting, video, photography, design and creative text. All submitted works will be shown at the big exhibition on May 28 in Dorćol Platz. The exhibition is a part of the Days of Contemporary Arts; the opening is scheduled for 6 PM. You are all invited to the exhibition and a good time at this gathering.

Selecting the winners was not an easy job for the jury

The expert jury a hard time deciding which among the large number of submitted works were the best, but at the same time, the jury members enjoyed the high school students’ creations and artistic expression.

The members of the jury were:

  • Ružica Bajić Sinkević, drawing and painting teacher at FCA;
  • Marina Crnogorac, graphic design professor at FCA;
  • Svetlana Knežević Lukić, photography professor at FCA;
  • Dušica Filipović, literature professor at FCA;
  • Goran Redžepi, professor at the Belgrade School of Design, who teaches photography and book graphics;
  • Olivera Erić, documentarist at the Faculty of Visual Arts Gallery.

Congratulations for the best

The most successful participants in all six categories will receive tablets as a prize, while second and third place winners will receive Photoshop courses. The best among the best, the absolute winner in all six categories, receives the first prize: the Grand Prix – studying at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts.

The award ceremony will be performed at the exhibition itself.

3rd prize: Nađa Mrković, Ballet School “Lujo Davičo”, Belgrade, “Beyond the Horizon”

The absolute winner of the Great High School Creatives’ Competition is Ana Simić from the School of Design in Belgrade. She sent a work in the PAINTING category entitled “The Body under the Microscope”, which received the Grand Prix.

See you at the big show in Dorćol Platz on May 28 at 6 PM

The entire event will culminate in the big exhibition that will be held on Tuesday, May 28, in Dorćol Platz’s exhibition space. The show is a part of the Days of Contemporary Arts and it will open at 6 PM; the visitors will have a chance to see all the entries and enjoy art created by high school students from across Serbia.

We would like to thank all students and their mentors who took part in the competition. We are very proud that you sent us a great number of creative works and the job of selecting the best ones was not easy in the slightest. It is our pleasure to inform you that this competition will take place next year, too.
