PROMOTING ART: FCA AND RTV HERCEG NOVI ESTABLISHED COLLABORATION

/ / News / 11. 10. 2023.

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts has established cooperation with RTV Herceg Novi, which will be reflected in the screening of plays as part of the student film festival on RTV Herceg Novi.

Promoting art and the young talents of our faculty, as well as art in general, is the primary goal of this exceptional collaboration. The first in a series, directed by our professor and head of the Acting Department, Božidar Đurović, will be the performance “Zaboravljeni Šekspir”.

PRESENTATION OF ARTWORK AS MOTIVATION FOR YOUTH

On this occasion, our professor gave a statement for this television channel emphasizing the importance of collaboration and what it brings to students, young talents, and those interested in pursuing careers related to art.

“This is an unusual collaboration between the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and a media house. I want to thank RTV Herceg Novi for this idea, which I consider very productive and beneficial because it will contribute to the interest of young people in art, who will have the opportunity to see artistic work in a special form. This is not about promoting the school but about presenting artistic work in specific circumstances and with certain possibilities. It should be noted that any type of filming of a theatrical performance can never fully recreate the impression created by a live theater performance and the direct interaction between the audience and actors on stage, but it is a kind of television document that will testify to how theater performances looked. These presentations of performances can greatly contribute to viewers following some works from the renowned cultural heritage, both Serbian and European and worldwide.”

Furthermore, Professor Đurović emphasized the significance of this collaboration for the students themselves:

“The recordings that will be shown can be very significant because they involve the most important works from the world’s cultural heritage. Therefore, our faculty insists that students educate and learn from the most challenging and difficult works of domestic and world dramatic literature.”

We are excited about this collaboration and confident that our faculty has taken the right step for our students, as well as young people in general, to motivate them to take an interest in art.
