SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED CREATIVE SATURDAY AT FCA: FREE WORKSHOPS INTRODUCED HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO THE WORLD OF ART

/ / News / 12. 03. 2024.

On Saturday, February 24 and March 9, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts hosted high school students passionate about art, who had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experiences in the field of creative expression. They learned many useful things and, with the help of expert lecturers, became acquainted with the process of creating works of art.

Students could attend various workshops:

  • MOBILE JOURNALISM SKILLS;
  • EVENT MANAGEMENT;
  • ACTING;
  • DRAMATIC PLAYS;
  • STAGE SPEECH;
  • COSTUME DESIGN;
  • STORYBOARD;
  • SPACE STUDY;
  • PROPORTION RESEARCH;
  • GRAPHIC DESIGN.

Some of the skills and knowledge that students gained by attending creative workshops at FCA included creating news using a mobile phone, on-the-spot filming and editing, as well as content posting on social media. They learned exclusive details about the creation of “STADA EXPO” and what its European tour looked like in 2023. Young actors were introduced to exercises performed in the first-year acting studies: liberation, objective, motive, action, playing with a partner, as well as improvisation. Through stage combat and acrobatics, they had the opportunity to improve their general motor skills, develop creativity and visionary awareness, and encourage motivation and moral-will factors for art as a whole. The stage speech workshop helped students find their authentic voice through breathing exercises, which allowed them maximum control over their voice, and vocal challenges. They learned to handcraft unique textile applications that can be used to decorate clothing and accessories. They were introduced to the basics of cinematographic language and visual forms through practical examples in film production. By familiarizing themselves with the basics of interior design, they learned to analyze the potential of organizing or redesigning selected environments through space studies. Drawing enthusiasts learned how proportions shape our perception of space when drawing models. Familiarizing themselves with the field of graphic design through an interesting practical task in Adobe Photoshop prepared students for creating visual content for graphic design needs: magazine covers, books, posters, etc.

We are pleased to have had the opportunity to host many students from all over Serbia again this year, not just from Belgrade, making this event even more significant. In addition to knowledge, participants took with them fond memories, new friendships, and, of course, official certificates as proof of participation.
