CONTEMPORARY EDUCATION IN ALL AREAS OF CREATIVE DRAMA AND MEDIA

Duration of undergraduate studies: 4 years (8 semesters)
ECTS credits: 240
Academic title acquired upon completion of the studies: Bachelor of Communication – Producer
Number of students in class: 40

A contemporary multimedia producer is someone who possesses the knowledge and capability to conceive, initiate, and create projects, from idea conception to content realization and distribution.

The Multimedia Production program at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts combines theory, the use of modern technologies, and practices that introduce students to the world of stage events, theater, radio, film, television, other media and art projects, and creative industries. The Multimedia Production program is by nature interdisciplinary, encompassing two professions and two fields of education, one artistic or creative, and the other theoretical or socio-humanistic. The diploma itself entails two competencies, communicological and production-related.

A contemporary producer should not only understand the process of creating a piece but also be ready to conceptualize, write, shoot, post-produce, and distribute drama and media content. Additionally, in an era of limited capital and weakening institutions, they should be prepared to start a business within the creative industries.

Therefore, FCA has created a program where you will learn how to understand and analyze creativity and artistry and use your own talents to translate ideas into action and implement projects. You have the opportunity to master the skills needed in all stages of creating stage and audio-visual works and their distribution. Seize it!

WHOM IS THE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION PROGRAM INTENDED FOR

If you are interested in the production and realization of creative and art content, working with screenwriters, directors, cameramen, editors, crews, and actors, or if you prefer conceptualizing, scriptwriting, directing, shooting, editing, and post-production in all areas of drama arts and creative industries such as theater, radio, film, television, and media, then the Multimedia Production program is the right choice for you.

This program is also an excellent choice if you cannot decide on just one creative activity but want to acquire a comprehensive education that will enable you to become a versatile and well-rounded multimedia-drama creative or project leader.

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts educates future multimedia professionals whose knowledge and abilities meet the demands of the modern drama and media scene.

The set of knowledge from the fields of humanities / social sciences and the arts provides the necessary theoretical background which is upgraded with practical knowledge to yield the ideal combination for the making of a successful producer.

The Art Production and Media Management program has been implemented since 1997/98, always keeping in step with the leading art schools in the art production and management realm.

The nature of the teaching process is interactive; from the very first year, the professors at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts let their students witness many filming projects and other relevant projects, so that they are directly introduced to the way creative industries work from the early days.

YOU CREATE THE SCENE

Your vision shapes the future media and drama scene.

In terms of content, the Multimedia Production program covers subjects from various fields such as theater, radio, film, television, media, the music industry, sound, creative writing, directing, camera work, editing, management and business, IT, cultural studies, and communication studies, and the sciences of drama and audio-visual arts.

A producer collaborates with various professions in a broader collective, so knowledge from these fields is essential for successfully conceiving, organizing, leading, and implementing a project.

You can now realize your ideas through the media channel of your choice and the mentorship of eminent professors. Additionally, with language courses and participation in international workshops, your work can reach the world.

Attendance at lectures is obligatory but also a privilege for students because each professor on each subject will strive to impart as much knowledge as possible through theory, practice, examples, communication, and tailored content and approach.

APPLY WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED IN PRACTICE

The Multimedia Production program, as a set of skills and knowledge from a wide range of drama and media practices and creative industries, is also connected to technological tools used to craft various modern production forms.

Studying at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts brings hands-on experience with the most advanced technology and programs that allow the entire project, from pre-production to post-production, to be realized in accordance with international standards.

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts offers direct application of acquired knowledge and skills, primarily in our modern multimedia studio, where you will have the opportunity to bring your creativity to life.

HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER

Teaching in the Multimedia Production program is conducted through lectures, exercises, colloquiums, tests, and independent seminary projects, with an emphasis on practical work.

The study program includes 42 exams, of which 32 are mandatory, and 10 are elective, which you can choose from a list of 20 subjects. All subjects in this study program last one semester.

Students’ activities are monitored and assessed using the point (credit) system.

Subjects are divided into mandatory and elective, which allows you professional development in the field of production that interests you the most.
