Therefore, the studies of visual arts at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts are dedicated to the individual development of future artists who freely choose expressive means and media for their creations.
If you want to develop your talent for visual arts, this study program allows you to engage in painting, multimedia arts, animation, character design, contemporary graphic arts, as well as conceptual art, performance art, body art, and any field within visual arts that resonates with your sensibilities.

In the Visual Arts study program, you can choose from five majors:

To ensure that your work will one day be included in the largest museum collections or private collections, education at FCA allows you to gain insight into the social context of today through subjects such as Sociology of Culture, Psychology, Pedagogy, and Teaching Methodology.
In addition, within these subjects, you will gain the knowledge necessary for work in various cultural institutions.
In addition to becoming an independent artist, after completing your studies at this department at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, you have the opportunity to engage in various artistic jobs in the field of visual arts according to your interests.
You will be able to engage in creating visual communication in the broadest sense, and after completing your master’s studies, you will be able to become a professor of visual arts and dedicate yourself to pedagogy and passing on your knowledge to new generations.
In addition to visual arts, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts also offers studies in design, performing arts, and creative communications. This is a great advantage for all of you who want to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge because, through elective subjects, you can improve and form a unique set of your professional personality.
Subjects in the field of design are of great importance in the education of visual artists, as they provide practical knowledge and skills that can be used in countless ways, and familiarity with Adobe and Autodesk software enables them to successfully realize every idea. Therefore, digital skills are also acquired in the Visual Arts department, and students master skills in working with Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and others.
Choose the elective subjects that interest you the most, such as Small Drawing, Portfolio, Poster, Computer Science for Artists, and Scenography, and professors will help you further direct your interests within that area during interactive classes.
In addition to working on developing talent for visual expression, through various organized extracurricular activities, painting students have the opportunity to attend additional courses.
Additional courses include courses from the Personal Development Program aimed at acquiring business-oriented skills and courses closely related to their interests as future visual artists. Among the skills you can master as Visual Arts students as part of additional course packages are programs for processing photo and video materials: Photoshop, 3D Max Modeling, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc. In addition, you can learn the basics of photography for video and film, the basics of WordPress, and many other interesting things. After successfully completing undergraduate studies lasting 4 years and earning 240 ECTS, you have the opportunity to continue your academic education and enroll in master’s studies in Visual Arts – Painting, which last 1 year and carry 60 ECTS, after which you will acquire the necessary qualifications for enrolling in doctoral studies.
After that, in doctoral studies, you have the opportunity to become a complete artist with the highest academic title. You will develop your artistic concepts to the highest level and present them through written work and a doctoral exhibition.

If you need further education to become an art teacher in elementary or high school, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts enables you to acquire the knowledge and diploma required for that.
If you have a bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS credits), you can enroll directly in the fourth year of Visual Arts studies, and after that, you will be able to continue your education and obtain a master’s degree.
