The Gallery of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts,
Svetozara Miletića 12, Belgrade,
announces an open call for exhibitions at the FSU Gallery in 2026.

The call is open to artists, artist collectives, and curatorial teams working within contemporary art and visual practices, regardless of age, formal education, or previous professional experience.

The use of the exhibition space of the Gallery of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts within this open call is free of charge.

AIM OF THE OPEN CALL

The aim of the open call is to select high-quality exhibition projects to be realized at the FSU Gallery throughout 2026, in the form of solo, group, or thematic exhibitions of contemporary art.

ELIGIBILITY

Applications are open to:

• artists of all profiles within contemporary visual and fine arts,
• artist groups and collectives,
• curators and curatorial teams.

All forms, media, and techniques are welcome, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, new media, performance, and intermedia practices.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the online application form and must include the following materials:

• Exhibition proposal (up to one A4 page) – a conceptual description of the project.
• Visual materials – photographs, sketches, visualizations, and/or links to video/audio works.
• Technical specification – description of spatial, installation, and technical requirements.
• Biography of the artist(s) or team – a short CV and narrative biography (up to 300 words).
• Proposed exhibition period in 2026 (preferred but not mandatory).

EXHIBITION CONDITIONS

Selected projects will be realized in coordination with the FSU Gallery team.
Artists are responsible for the production, transportation, and installation of artworks, in collaboration with the gallery.
The FSU Gallery provides the exhibition space, basic technical and organizational support, as well as promotion of the exhibition.
The Artistic Council of the FSU Gallery reserves the right to propose programmatic or technical modifications in agreement with the artists.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• artistic and conceptual clarity,
• originality and contemporary relevance,
• relevance to the FSU Gallery exhibition program,
• feasibility within the gallery space and technical capacities.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

January 20, 2026, by 11:59 PM

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

RESULTS

The results of the open call will be announced no later than February 1, 2026, through the official channels of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts. Selected applicants will be contacted directly.
