Satellite Event at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts, as an official partner of the New European Bauhaus, is organizing a satellite event titled Design Initiatives for the 21st Century: The Contribution of Aesthetics and Sustainability, which will be held on June 10 and 11, 2026, at the faculty, 12 Svetozara Miletića Street, Belgrade.

During the event, a panel discussion will be held at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts entitled Aesthetics for the 21st century: Design connected to nature, an exhibition and the awarding of prizes to the best student works created in the framework of workshops dedicated to the reflection of initiatives aligned with the principles and visions of the New European Bauhaus – Project NEB Lab, as well as the workshop and the presentation of the workshop Entanglement of the Unraveling, based on the cyclicality and redesign of wool from the project Untangling: New Spaces from the Architecture Biennale in Venice 2025. The Faculty will create a Wall of Initiatives where students will be able to propose future initiatives that support sustainability at the faculty.

As part of the networking of the New European Bauhaus Festival satellite events, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts will host the Faculty of Design in Ljubljana as a long-standing partner institution, which will present itself through films documenting the organization of the New European Bauhaus Festival satellite event in Ljubljana. Simultaneously, at the satellite event in Ljubljana, a film following the organization of the satellite event at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts will be presented to the Slovenian audience.
